Happy Aunt

Last week Beth gave birth to her and Edward's second son, Samuel Anthony.  He arrived at 11:58am on January 18th, which was his due date.  He was certainly timely!  Two minutes later and I'd say he was precise to the moment.  I was lucky enough to meet him that evening at the hospital and then to see him again when Beth and Edward brought him home from the hospital.  (I was also lucky enough to spend quality time with Nate while he stayed with my parents for a couple days.  We hit up McDonald's and he joined us on one of Maddie's play dates with school friends at Jenkinson's Aquarium.)  Samuel is precious--so adorable and already being so good to Mommy by sleeping and eating well.  I'll leave the rest of the details from his birth and early days to Beth to post if she starts up her blog again.  But you know I can't resist sharing a few (okay, many) pictures!  The day he came home I took 250 pictures of him.  WOW!  I will sort through and delete loads of those, but I just couldn't stop snapping such a sweet subject.
A proud MorMor and PopPop

He is tiny, but I think my huge hands make him look even tinier!

These days cell phone photos via text are more of a rite of passage than the old school hospital wallet photos I think.
The picture is blurry, but I like having the whole happy crowd of kids in it.

The kids didn't know what was more exciting--the french fries or baby.

First diaper change at home--I love how things that will soon be monotonous start out momentous when it comes to a baby.

First smile?!

Happy family!  I'm so blessed that they are my family!
