Yogurt

Madeleine and Avonlea are big fans of yogurt, particularly vanilla flavored yogurt.  I go back and forth as to whether I should get it because I'm never sure which brands actually have substantial nutritional value and which are just sugary dairy (or even worse, aspartame-filled dairy).  Does anyone have any suggestions for brands that don't have artificial sweeteners, not too much sugar and have all the probiotics that make yogurt a worthwhile food?  (As someone who cannot stand yogurt except in certain savory Greek and Indian dishes, I don't have a lot of experience.)

But, back to the reason for this post.  Madeleine and Avonlea are big fans and here is an example of what Avonlea looks like when allowed her own serving.

See, Avvie is suspicious about the contents, too.

No thanks little girl!

What cute pictures! Re: yogurt, Earth's Best recently came out with Baby Yogurt, which has no sugar. (It is whole milk yogurt, though.) It comes in small cups in a few different varieties and is in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Earth's Best also makes Fruit Yogurt Smoothies in shelf stable squeezable pouches, and they also contain no sugar. (You can get them at Target or Babies R Us, where they are on sale right now). Claire LOVES both of these. Alternatively, you could also just buy a large tub of plain yogurt and mix in applesauce, pureed fruit, or jam.
