Special Lunch

My Aunt Rosemarie recently had the girls and me over for a lunch with her girls and Grandma.  She made it so special with delicious sandwiches, fun desserts, treats for the girls and most special of all lots of toys from her kids' childhood that she pulled out for my girls to play with.  Laura and Jill had only about a day at home during a short reading break so we were flattered that they spent the afternoon with us and playing with Maddie and Avvie.  The girls had a great time and I am so happy to see them getting to know more and more family.  Since we moved here they have had special visits with each of my aunts (their great-aunts!) that they probably wouldn't have had if we didn't have the luxury of living so close to them (and even though we're still almost an hour from my Aunt Karen, we're closer than before and have had more visits to see her, too.)

Maddie and Avvie got a little less cooperative with each picture!

I'm hard at work on a post about Avonlea's milestones so hopefully I'll get it done this weekend.  We have lots of stuff around the house to work on so we'll see where it can get squeezed in.  And for those of you who have asked to see the house, I'm sorry I haven't posted pictures!  It's not intentional at all, it's just that I've had a back log of pictures from before we moved and then we were so busy the first couple weeks of unpacking that I barely took any pictures.  I should start having more pictures from our new house up soon, even if I don't get to put up a full picture tour.  And I do have an online album from when we did the house inspection.  I don't want to post the link here since I want to be respectful of the previous owners (their stuff was still in the house during the inspection) and post it on the web, but if I know you in real life, I'd be happy to send you the link privately.  Just drop me an email or leave a comment if you're interested.
