12 Hours

Bedtime usually means bath, music and dancing, a couple books, prayers and snuggling.  Generally the routine starts a little after 7 and we've finished tucking in and "one more glass of water please" by 8.  (When I originally posted this I accidentally wrote we have them in bed by 9.  I was off by an hour, we actually finish up by 8.  Thank goodness b/c I treasure our bedtime routine, but 2 hours would be a bit excessive.)

Andy is apparently a fan of 5 Little Monkeys.

There are always bows, barrettes, elastics and other little girl accessories littering the vanity no matter how hard I try to keep up with putting them away.

I would rather she be clutching a more classic childhood book, but heck, she often likes to fall asleep reading (not actually reading) which is a virtue in my book.

The girls usually get up between 7 and 8.  (Maddie actually gets up and crawls into bed with me around 5:30 when Andy first gets up, but she'll go back to sleep.  She loves to cuddle and sometimes will lay completely on top of me in an attempt to snuggle. I love that she wants to be with me, but that is not comfy for me so I usually can roll her off, still asleep.)
These pictures are from a few days before Halloween and those are pumpkin pancakes.  They were a big hit!

I love the sequence of Avonlea eating.  This girl relishes her food.

(And what breakfast is complete without a pink light saber flashing on the kitchen table.)
