Rutgers Football Game

Even though I have more blogging to do about our weekend with Kim, I'm going to take a slight detour and blog about our afternoon at a Rutgers football game.  I realized that Kim has a picture from our dinner out that I don't have, so I thought I'd wait until she has a chance to sort through her pictures and send it.  In the meantime I have plenty of other pictures and stories to post about, so no pressure Kim!

Maddie was more interested in the game this year than last year (another game here) and spent a fair amount of the game sitting outside with my parents and Andy.  Avonlea, on the other hand, was skittish about all the noise and spent most of the game hanging out inside with me.  That was fine by both of us given the comfortable seats and abundant food.

Sometimes it was a tad loud for Maddie, but she coped.

The only time Avonlea wanted to come out was after a touchdown because the "'orsey" would come out.  (Putting one of her words makes me realize how desperately behind I am on a milestone post for both girls.  In sum, they are both doing well and Avonlea is talking up a storm.  She's already combining words to make three words phrases and she marvels us all with her new words each day.  But more on that soon!)
